I had mild funk on yesterday for turning 30.

I had to do a bunch of housework, brcause, yuck it was really getting bad around here. So after school I vacuumed a little. I did some dishes, laundry yada yada.

later I did more vacuuming and some mopping. after the kids each had melodrama at bedtime I did more mopping and cleaned the tub toliot and sink. yeah thrilling.

Then when Luke got back from small group I was too tired to eat cake and plus feared acid reflux from chocolate ganache late at night.

and I was moody.

But I did get a nice shower….and Luke did most of the supper cooking, and the dishes…and I got to open more presents, and Brucie insisted he and luke sing happy birthday loudly…and I got birthday kisses from the kids…

and friday my in laws will have the kids from lunch to bedtime so Luke and I can go play in the city and eat really good Italian food at a real, non-chain Italian restaurant.

and tonight we had new friends over and I made a really yummy lasagna, breadmaker bread, and oh yes, chocolate ganache cake, the kind that is normally an unjustifiable price from whole foods, was eaten!

So now, I feel better. just needed chocolate cake and the first fall lasagna to smooth things  over.  And friday will be an extra awesome treat.
