Life’s updates

So let’;s see we’ve been pretty busy.

Got to see alot of my mom’’s side of the family last weekend in NH, due to my grandfather’s death and funeral. So that was obviously, bitter sweet.  It was however cool to be at my aunt and uncle’s house and see all of the cousins I used to play with in their yard, all of us chasing our own kids around. I had a little sentimental moment.  And for the record, I come from a long line of very fertile family members. We’ve got babies and kiddos galore. It’s not just me ;)

For labor day, we went to Naples. Luke and his sister’s family helped stack wood. I was encouraging, or something. I tried to help with dinner to make up for my non wood stacking ability. After all we will be enjoying that woodstove on family visits this winter ;)

Tuesday we had hoped to rent a boat and chill on the lake, but it didn’t work out. So instead we all went to Echo lake in Conway NH, then we drove up the ridge to see the view from above, which was both beautiful and frightening. Ha, I have a love/hate relationship with heights anyway (love the view, jsut not the queasy feeling) with my small children I was a little extra nervous, despite the fencing, but it was really lovely and therefore worth it.

A trip to watch some trains come in and visit a favored candy store and then home again home again.

This week marked the start of School for Brucie. Here at home that is. He really likes it quite a bit. We did only 2 days this week, and it was like all school- introductory. But I’ll be posting pics of the fun things we did. He’s totally into it, for now anyway. Lily also tries to do as many things as she can that Brucie does.

Other tidbits:

getting larger every week. The baby is super active

my eczema is flaring badly. Oiy.So far I have it managed, but I am not sure what is up with that, perhaps just because my hands have had very dry skin. I was also starting to panic because it seemed to be spreading, then I realized I accidentally bought the new arm and hammer essentials more eco friendly laundry detergent in mountain breeze scent. No good. I always need the dye free perfume free stuff. So, annoyingly, I had to go buy another container of the right stuff. This seems to have solved other rash issues, phew.

had fun going through a big bin of hand me downs and washing them up for fall wear. Bring on fall, bring it on. Even though I had previously sorted these, going back through them because the kids were actually going to wear them was way fun.

Lily is becoming a sleep champ. Bruce is hit or miss. He finally earned enough stickers for a prize Friday night, and after a day of shopping for necessities and prizes, he had a set back last night. oh man, I’m still tired.

I’m enjoying the evenings around here, they are brisk and fall like.  For example we went to the last Sea Dogs AA baseball game the other night and I got to dress the kids in warm clothes and wear my LL bean fall shoes and jeans and a sweatshirt. ahhhh I love it.

Ok, sorry for the delay, but now you’re all caught up ;)
