The kids were hilarious on halloween. Bruce kept asking all day when he got to put the costume on. I bought him batman pj’s and then a mask with a longer cape.

Turns out the cape was too long, so I decided, at the very last minute to dress up a little too. I wore the cape and my new knee high boots, with black pants and shirt. I said I was super mom to go with the theme of batman and supergirl. Luke said I was wearing too much black for that, and that I should wear the cat ears that we had gotten for lily because I couldn’t find the “just right” costume for her at first. So I did. So I was sort of the villian cat woman, but the kids didn’t care they just thought it was funny.

Anyway, once Lily comprehended that there was going to be candy involved in this gig, she was all over trick or treat. She kept trying to say trick or treat and was as anxious as her brother to get out the door. We went with Ingrid and Isabel our friends and upstairs neighbors. Bruce was ecstatic to ring doorbells, Lily signed thank you to everyone who gave her treats, and basically they were loving it.

Lily would not let me carry her bucket (which was too large for her but what I could come up with) but refused to let me carry it, I had to carry her and the bucket because she didn’t want anyone touching her loot. Oh man, it begins already.

The funniest part was that, even though after we came home, during a rushed supper she was emptying her bucket and refilling it, and at church they got MORE candy at the harvest party, yet neither one has asked for candy since then. It’s like they forgot or something. We have to offer them a piece for them to remember.

I did not forget.

I do not feel good alot of the time because I have been eating all the things they “shouldn’t”. ahem. like all the PB cups….which Lily shouldn’t  have…and really, does Bruce need them?
