Happy news years and why my kids are awesome!
Monday, December 31st, 2007some awesome things about my kids/having kids:
1. They are incredibly adorable!
2. My son knows the first verse to the they might be giants song “particle man”
3. he also exclaimed joyfully today that his white ukuele is “the best present I ever had!”
4. when he’s finished singing his abc’s (usually correctly) he yells: I know my alphabet!
5. He can recite the introduction to the They might be giants (tmbg) puppets podcast…using his hands as puppets!
6. Bruce breaks out in songs at any moment, esp where do they make balloons and don’t cross the street in the middle in the middle of the block (yes, more tmbg songs, we’re HUGE fans of there kids stuff, and grown up stuff as well)
7. after playing his ukuele for me, he set it down and proclaimed, that was amazing!
8. Gillian’s singing. she does it at church and when youu sing a song eventually she’ll chime in
9. her adorable squeaking and yelling when she’s insanely happy
10. the look in her eyes when she goes for her dad’s hat or one of her grandmother’s glasses
11. hug attacks from either child
12. hearing brucie say “I’m holding the baby’s hand” and turning to discover it’s true!
13. singing to make the baby happy with Brucie
14. how much Lily loves her brother, she goes into hysterics when he hugs her, sings to her or just looks in her general direction
15. How happy lily is to see me almost any time
16. when they both wake up happy, Brucie rubbing my back to wake me up and Lily squealing with delight and touching my face (we will NOT discuss when they wake up unhappy, this is a happy list
)
17. How much fun Lily is to dress up, she seems to be amused by it
18. every morning after getting dressed Bruce and I proclaim how handsome he is and how pretty the baby is
19. the extreme joy of Bruce at recieving after dinner dark chocolate
20. hearing, come play with me (mama, daddy, mummi, or papa). let’s hide….let’s play lego trains…let’s play superheros
21. how sweet it is when Lily flaps her arms wildly and leans towards the person she wants to hold her
22. a sleeping baby snuggled close in the ergo
