So far today Lily has (all while I did dishes):

1. Climbed out of her seat where she was coloring like a sweet angel to get on TOP of the table

Bruce: mommy

me: (agitated because I was delayed 3 times from starting the dishes) what?!

Bruce: (with a huge grin on his face)- Lily is on top of the table.

ME: WHAT?!! LILY GET OFF THE TABLE! On second thought, I go and remove her myself

(while telling Bruce it isn’t funny, which of course is not true, it is funny, just not before I get her off unharmed)

ME: seeing a giant mess of markers- please pick up the markers and put the covers on them you two

I return to the dishes

2.

Bruce: mommy where is that big eraser?

Me: what big eras…oh, you mean the magic eraser?

Bruce:yeah

me: (not looking forward to the answer) why?

Bruce: Lily is drawing on the wall with marker

Me: LILY!!!

I go out and sure enough she is gleefully coloring on the built in drawers with pretty blue marker, an offense she has been disciplined over before. more discipline ensues. I tell Bruce, no  magic eraser fun until all the markers are picked up.

and then, because I DON’T LEARN, I go back to the dishes/getting supper into the crock pot

later…I return to the diningroom to check the status of operation, pick up the d@#$ markers, and find Lily, NOT picking up the markers, but dumping all the pepper out of the pepper shaker onto the table

ME: LILY!!!!!!!!!!! grrr argh…argh grrr spank, time out.

that has been my morning.

I am looking forward to nap
