So it’s late on wednesday night. I basically had a little snooze trying to get the 3 kids to bed, then woke up to finish what I hadn’t been able to earlier in the day:

I finished making the beds (did all the sheets in the wash today)

put away FOUR loads of laundry

picked up all the mess on the floors

earlier today I:

did some “school” with Bruce

striped all the beds and did the aforementioned 4 loads of laundry

exercised during naptime   (20 minutes on the recumbant bike while doing arm exercises with 1.5 lb weights. you would not believe how tired it made me. how pathetic)

then fed Ollie

then showered

then woke the kids up

walked to the library (the sidewalks were atrocious, I was pushing Lily in an umbrella stroller and carrying Ollie in a sling. There were puddles, and slushy bits and ice. Bruce was THRILLED about the puddles and could never seem to really avoid them somehow. such a boy)

walked home (have you seen our hill…OIY)

made tea and had a tea party with the kids

then attempted to make turkey pot pie, from scratch, INCLUDING the 2 crusts

the kids all managed to be a wreck during this period of time, Ollie was super fussy and the other two were wound up and running around

supper was not served until 6:20…ouch

the crusts were not masterpieces as I rushed to make them since Ollie was fussy and did not get the butter incorporated enough. grrrrrrr I had to pretty much piece the stupid bottom crust together in the pie pan and the top crust was kind of set on top of the filling.

thankfully it tasted ok

Since Monday I have washed dried and put away 7 loads of laundry. I have a load waiting to go in the dryer and tomorrow will need to wash cloth diapers.

not surprisingly I am tired.

but hey, my laundry is clean and put away

the kids are asleep (oh please oh please oh please stay asleep ALL NIGHT)

and I had a yummy cupcake after supper. woo hoo

oh hey and its snowing again. just in case all this out door walking around daily stuff made us forget its still winter. Hey 2-4 more inches of snow should remind me that yes, its still winter.
