we arrived in MASS yesterday afternoon.

I drove the 26 foot yes TWENTY SIX foot moving van from portland to sommerville. it was harrowing and I almost hyperventilated twice but now I can say I did it.  The last half a mile felt like 10 perhaps because it was a narrow side road with cars parked on both sides and I was driving 2 miles per hour with like 10 cars behind me. ha ha

anyway the truck was unloaded and returned yesterday night. my dad and brother helped us unload. and our very cool landlords/about to be upstairs neighbors stopped by and ended up staying, buying pizza (ignoring our comments that we probably didn’t need any, noticing our brains were dead from moving paralysis)and helpung us unload a bit. that was incredibly nice and made us feel good to be here.

today luke’s folks brought more stuff (how is that possible I gave away GOBS of things and yet STILL we had more than would fit in a 26 footer).   They helped us find the livingroom and the kitchen. there is so much unpacking to do. oiy

kids slept well last night. my dad graciously set up their beds so they were comfy and exhausted.

there has been a lot of crying. poor kids. they freak out about the smallest things and yet they are also enjoying the unpacking of toys and the new things we encounter. they were extremely happy to walk the very very short distance to the playground and play there until it rained.

I’m tired.  we’re listening to the red sox on raido (sold the tv because this livingroom is big enough for seating and listening to records but not so much for our biggish tv).

yeah we’re moved. now we just have to unpack. HA
