So sometimes the sun comes out and its even nice enough to go outside. Someone I know posted this lovely link to the Enviromental working group’s Best sunscreen guide.

They seem like a decent organization who does actual research. Most of the best sunscreens are, of course, expensive, but since I follow the other guidelines nad barely use the stuff, I went with California baby, which is slightly less expensive and I could find at target when I need it. delightful.

Their hall of shame is interesting and not really nearly as snarky as I would be if I wrote those things up ;) ha ha ha.

Lucky for me I like making sun hats for the girly girl and ollie LOVES his hand me down sun hat from brucie, and as soon as I stop being lazy (or packing, or baking like crazy) I actually have a cut out sun hat for Bruce and so, you know we’re all good in that department.

um except I don’t have one. hmmmmm silly mama

anyway, it seems like useful information to me, and as close as I can come to a reasonable middle ground between yummy vitamin D in sunshine form and not getting skin cancer.

hope its helpful
